DougRUSH, Head Coach
This is the third season for the Spring Lions to play under Head Coach Doug Rush. Prior to coming to Spring High School, Coach Rush was the Head Baseball Coach at Waller High School. During his 8 years at Waller, he became the all-time leader in win/loss percentage at the school. Coach Rush has also coached baseball at Denton High School, Lee College and Killeen Ellison High School.
Coach Rush graduated from Denton High School where he played baseball as a pticher and outfielder earning team MVP honors. While attending North Texas State University (now University of North Texas) Coach Rush pitched for four years and during his senior season was named Team Captain. He has been named Coach of the Year for District 18-44 and has represented the Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association by being named Coach of the North All Star team in the summer of 2004. Coach Rush has a Masters Degree in Education. He has 2 children, Jordan and Haley.

MikeFARMER, Assistant Varsity Coach
This marks the 14th year for Coach Farmer as Assistant Varsity Coach at Spring High School. Coach Farmer works as a hitting and outfield coach. As a player he attended Westchester High School in Houston where he was MVP and an All District selection. He attended Texas Tech University on a baseball scholarship where he was awarded the Burl Huffman Courage Award in 1981. He holds a Masters Degree in Physical Education/Health from the University of Houston. Coach Farmer and his wife, Carol, have a son, Blake.

KyleMATLOCK, Junior Varsity Coach
Coach Matlock is in his 11th year at Spring High School and his 5th year as Junior Varsity Coach. Prior to coaching the Junior Varsity team he was coach of the Sophomore Team. Coach Matlock is also a coach for the Sophomore basketball team. He is a graduate of Spring High School and was a first team All Greater Houston baseball player. He attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas where he played both football and baseball.

JeremyWILLIS, Assistant Varsity Coach
Coach Willis is a 1996 graduate of Spring High School, where he lettered in baseball for three years. In 1995-1996 he was selected as an All District player and was a part of the Regional Semi-Finalist and Area Champs playoff teams. Before coming to Spring High School, Coach Willlis was a Varsity Assistant at Westfield High School where he worked with infielders and hitting instruction. Coach Willis attended Sam Houston State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Coach Willis and his wife, Andrea, have a son, Logan Hunter Willis.
